The Innovation Camp 2025 took place in Struer, Denmark, from the 7th to the 25th of July 2025.

Divided in six multidisciplinary teams, 29 students from a broad array of academic fields at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, CUT - Politechnika Krakowska im. Tadeusza Kościuszki, AU - Aarhus Universitet and Aalto University, have conceptualised, designed and build six very different solutions to this year's challenge.

Under the concept 𝐑𝐄-𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 (re-activating electronic waste and harvesting microenergy for new sound based solutions), the students presented us with:

  • ModuleLock & TrackBeat - an anti-theft amplifier module and tracking app for festival speakers
  • A self sufficent underwater surveilance system for windmill farms
  • StillSound - a noise-isolating, in-ear monitor to prevent sensory overload for neurodivergent festival guests
  • An adaptive sleep system for individuals with PTSD
  • Haptic DOGGO Vest - haptic communication with hearing impaired dogs
  • A haptic, homebased rehabilitation support for Parkinson's patients

The concepts and models are a result of an amazing, cross-disciplinary teamwork between students from a broad field of studies, from industrial design, acoustics, mechanical and electrical engineering, over robotics and automation, to innovation management and more.

The program included, among other, the following:

  • Lectures & talks on ideation, concept development, user-centred design, IP/patent considerations and more
  • Pitch and presentation training
  • Facilitated project work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Pitch sessions mentored by sound tech industry professionals
  • A final pitch & open door event
